GCAA's Doline Colenburg Earns Prestigious Dance Career Award

Grand Center Arts Academy Dance Pathway student, Doline Colenburg, has been recognized with one of the region's highest honors for aspiring young dancers, receiving a Dance Career Award from Dance St. Louis during this year's Bayer Dance Education Residency Program.

Selected from hundreds of students across the St. Louis region, the Dance Career Award recognizes exceptional talent, dedication, and the potential for a professional career in dance. As an award recipient, Doline will receive ongoing mentorship and career guidance, including support with auditions, college and career planning, professional networking opportunities, and advanced dance training.

In addition to Doline's individual recognition, the Grand Center Arts Academy Dance Ensemble was selected to perform at the residency showcase. Students presented an original work choreographed by GCAA Dance Department Lead Sommer Harris, as well as a flamenco piece created in collaboration with Dance St. Louis residency instructors.

Congratulations to Doline and the entire GCAA Dance Ensemble for representing Grand Center Arts Academy with exceptional talent, artistry, and professionalism.
