It is hard to believe that another school year has come to an end so quickly. It is at times such as this that you take the opportunity to pause and reflect on the year that has gone before and set your thoughts on the possibilities which lay ahead. As I reflect I can’t help but be proud of the wonderful efforts and achievements of our students, staff and you the community over the past year. The rich fabric of opportunities for students at our school and the collective efforts of everyone involved to help students access these opportunities is truly commendable. Dance Concerts, Plays, Musicals, Music Concerts, Art Shows, Contests, Service projects, Field trips, and the list of other events too long to mention are what makes GCAA the school we all know and love.
I cannot be more proud of our first senior class and all that they have accomplished. We wish them well in their future endeavors and are so thankful for all they have contributed to the life and vision of this school. At our first graduation, we learned that of this senior class, 99% graduated and 88% have plans for post-secondary study while earning nearly a million dollars in scholarship offers. Educating our children for a successful future is important and influential work. I want to recognize our AMAZING staff and their daily contributions in providing the richest experience possible for our students.
In ways large and small, each of you has made a positive difference for kids this year. If I haven’t had an occasion to express this to you in person, please know that I deeply value your efforts and your commitment. I hope your families have an opportunity to rest and re-energize over the summer. Take time to travel, pursue a hobby, enjoy the company of friends and family, and savor the experiences.
Please find attached to this message, our school calendar for next year. We will plan to send a summer mailing with additional information that will also include dates for student orientations the week before school starts. More on that to come. Until then….
Have a great summer!
