limelight-graphic Established in honor of Grand Center Arts Academy graduates, The LimeLight Award will recognize those organizations and/or individuals that have contributed in a meaningful way to their pre-professional artistic and academic development. We seek to shine a light on those who value Grand Center Arts Academy programming, demonstrated by their investment of time, talent and resources. The award is focused on theatre, dance, music, visual art, as well as the fields of science, engineering, communications, and social justice.

Grand Center Arts Academy graduates will engage in our community as highly artistic, literate, passionate citizens. We are grateful for the support of those who have chosen to share their “limelight” with our students. The annual LimeLight Award will be presented at the LimeLight gala event on May 20th 2016, which will also honor Grand Center Arts Academy’s inaugural graduating class. Event Co-Chairs are  Shanara Gabrielle and Dianne Gray Grand Center Inc, local businesses, arts organizations and The GCAA Fund are proud to show their support for Grand Center Arts Academy at LimeLight 2016!   We thank our Presenting Sponsors ARCO, Bull Moose Industries, and The Lawrence Group for demonstrating their deep commitment to Grand Center Arts Academy. LimeLight 2016 honors GCAA’s first graduating class; Students who will engage in their community as highly artistic, literate, passionate citizens. Festivities kick off at 6:30 with delicious hors d’oeuvres, craft beer, wine, and specialty cocktails, accompanied by lovely live art from Vesna Delevaska and music. At 7:30 we’ll enter the beautifully restored Sun Theatre for more cross-collaborative performances with Master of Ceremonies Ben Nordstrom, and the LimeLight Award ceremony which will honor Phil Dunlop and Jazz St. Louis for its significant role in the development of GCAA’s Jazz programming. Guest will enjoy coffee, dessert and a chance to win the silent auction of Vesna’s painting beginning at 8:30.
