GCAA Annual Art Show
Thursday, April 23 6-8 pm @ Grand Center Arts Academy
Student work from the 2014-2015 school year will be displayed.The GCAA Annual Art show is a spectacular display and celebration of our visual art students’ hard work from over the school year. This year we have expanded our show. Student work will be displayed in the GCAA lobby, courtyard and Sun Theater Mezzanine. It will feature select artwork from every art class representing each project that was created this year. Drinks, appetizers, and desserts will be served by our own visual art students. There will be student work for sale and silent auction (explained the in the “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” section below).
This is an incredible event that you will not want to miss!We will also be serving complimentary snacks and beverages. “Walk a Mile in Their Shoes” Select Middle School classes and All Visual Art High School students have created an art installation to be featured at the Art Show. Each student painted a shoe to represent a civil rights movement from around the world. These shoes will be on display and up for silent auction in the courtyard between GCAA and the Sun Theatre during the show. . . - . Select shoes will be up for silent auction. - All other shoes will have a set price of $15. (first come first serve) - Cash or Credit Cards are accepted. - Each silent auction shoe will go to the highest bidder by the end of the night. - The bidding will CLOSE at 7:30 pm. - Shoes will be purchased and taken home that night. ---
