Computer Programing Kudos

GCAA student Dani Crivello is a winner and Vernesha Jackson is a runner-up for the Saint-Louis & Southern Illinois regional competition of the National Center for Women & IT Award for Aspirations in Computing (NCWIT).  This organization honors young women at the high-school level for their computing-related achievements and interests. Awardees are selected for their computing and IT aptitude, leadership ability, academic history, and plans for post-secondary education. Recipients receive two engraved awards: one for her, and one for her school's trophy case. They also receive opportunities for scholarships, internships, research experiences, and other educational and employment opportunities provided by NCWIT member organizations.
