Mark your calendars for the second annual GCAA back-to-school picnic to be held Friday, August 16th from 5:30-8:30 pm in Forest Park. This event was a big success last year. All families are welcome!
The Parent Association will provide grilled hamburgers, hotdogs and plates/silverware. Everyone is encouraged to bring their family’s favorite lawn games.
We are asking that potluck items be brought by grade as follows:
6th--hamburger/hotdog buns, sliced cheese, condiments (ketchup, mustard, etc)
7th--side dishes (please mark vegetarian dishes for our vegetarian friends and items with nuts for our friends with allergies)
8th--side dishes (please mark vegetarian dishes for our vegetarian friends and items with nuts for our friends with allergies)
9th--drinks and cups (water, lemonade, juice, etc; please no soda or alcohol)
We are also in need of a few volunteers to help with:
grilling at 5 pm
setup at 5 pm
cleanup at 8:30 pm

Our location will be picnic pavilion #11. Enter the park on Wells Drive, off Skinker in the southwest corner of the park ,and look for the sign for #11 on your left. This will take you into the park a little bit, but it's before the zoo. This link will take you to an interactive map of Forest Park:
