PXSTL seeks creative use of open space

PXSTL is an exciting project aimed at rethinking the open space on the north side of Washington Blvd, just across from the Pulitzer Foundation and east of the David Bruno Gallery. A national search was initiated in March by the Pulitzer Foundation and the Sam Fox School of Design at Washington University (thus the acronym) to select a finalist to lead the design of the space. They are down to three finalists who will be in town next Tuesday to present their ideas at this event. Since the space is less than a block away from GCAA, and our partnership with the Pulitzer continues to deepen, we encourage our teachers, students and families to attend the Public Launch at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 in the space at 3713 and 3719 Washington Blvd. Please come to learn more, ask questions and offer feedback. This is project will garner much interest and is another example of how the Grand Center neighborhood continues to flourish as a vibrant cultural center. Our students will be a part of the future use of this space in some capacity. They want to hear from you and other community members!
