We are really excited to be offering a five-part mini-workshop/program presented by Opera Theatre St. Louis. This is will be a really exciting, fun, interactive program that I think will be a big hit for participating students. We only have room 10- 20 kids from grades 6-9th grades, so please be prompt in relaying your interest.
The purpose is to get kids turned on to opera and show how exciting, contemporary and creative opera can be. The first event is next Saturday, February 23 and will feature world renowned trumpet player and composer, Terrence Blanchard, who has written a new opera for OTSL which includes jazz and hip hop elements and a unique story. This will be an interactive workshop, led by Mr. Blanchard and it starts at 1:00 P.M. and will take place at the Centene Center, just two blocks from GCAA. (3547 Washington Ave. St Louis, MO, 63103.)
