GCAA Homecoming at Third Baptist Church

It was a bit like a Homecoming celebration. After all, Third Baptist Church provided a temporary home for GCAA back in 2010, the first year GCAA existed. At the end of that year, the Church was the site of the 2011 GCAA Arts Infusion. Back then, GCAA consisted only of six and seventh graders.

Fast forward two years, and GCAA returns to Third Baptist Church. This time, the school is twice as big, consisting of grades six through nine. The GCAA choirs strutted their stuff for the packed church in a benefit concert/food drive. The benefit was titled “Voices for Change,” and it featured the Sixth Grade Choir, Mixed Choir, Freshmen Choir, Treble Choir and All-Sing. Here is a copy of the evening’s program.

The remainder of this article will feature a video of excerpts from the performances, as well as photos from the evening (click on the photos for higher res versions). The GCAA choirs were directed by Drew Cowell.
